Dominic Young is the founder of Axate. Previously he was a newspaper executive whose roles as IP Director and Strategy Director within Newscorp included initiation and participation in numerous industry level organisations and projects. These included complex and sometimes contentious rights negotiations on behalf of the media broadly, and industry lobbying around changes in copyright and liability laws. He is an expert on copyright, in particular the interaction between copyright and the internet and how rights function in practice within the media broadly. His current project is focused on media business models and providing the shared infrastructure to enable far more diverse and customer-centric models than are currently deployed.
